Summer Hat Tip

Quick, before summer is over, and we have to put away our beloved straw hats, let's give them a snazzy update by jazzing them up with snazzy pom-poms. My mom is flying in on Friday for a weekend stay with us, so I'm thinking about trying this out then. What do you think: thumbs up or down?

P.S: And the 'it' summer hat hairdo.
P.P.S: Plus, that little (insignificant) thing I love!

Summer Wedding Tweak

Wednesday, July 19, 2017

Ah, there is nothing more romantic than a summer outdoor wedding, is there? We've been on two in the last month and both brides wore baby's breath fresh crown. I spent the whole ceremony thinking about how perfectly it complemented the brides, despite their different gown choices. One of them wore a midi-style white dress and the other one sported a floor-length ivory backless gown. This whole thing made me realize that simplicity really works and it actually makes everything more beautiful and special...

What do you think, would you wear it?

P.S: Here is how you can make one yourself.
P.P.S: Fancy more?

Life Is Too Short To Be Busy

Some time just before our trip to Spain, I spotted this quote on Jacqui's feed. Without realizing it at first, those few lines made a huge impression on me. Somehow, unconsciously, it gave me the green light to re-evaluate my own busyness and see it for what it really is. By giving myself the permission to make small changes towards things I cherish, I've been able to make tiny new pockets of space for the things that matter more, and toss the things that don't work anymore.

Like everything, it's a process, but let's face it, life is really too short to be busy all the time. Don't you think? Hope this will do some good to you too...

P.S: Proof that perception is everything.
P.P.S: And, this.

My Favourite Food Podcasts

Tuesday, July 18, 2017

Do you listen to podcasts? They are a big part of my morning coffee-brewing/email-checking routine. Lately, I've been diving into food, because there is nothing more satisfying than the smell of freshly made java, summer sunshine, a puppy wiggling under my feet and background chatter entirely devoted to food! Ah, heaven!

So, here are a few of my favourites:
Party in My Plants - The Splendid Table - The Sporkful - Burnt Toast - Spilled Milk - Sustainable Dish - Bite - Serious Eats - The Slow Melt - The Dinner Party Download.

What are yours? Do share...

P.S: Are you into food memoirs?
P.P.S: Plus, 10 must see food documentaries.

Summer Tip: Wine Wraps

Next time you're invited for an impromptu summer barbecue, wrap your favourite bottle of rosé into one of those beautiful fabric wine wraps that Jen cleverly came up with. I promise, they will make the most thoughtful and personal little summer hostess gift. Here is the full how-to.

Pretty, aren't they?

P.S: The wine debate...
P.P.S: And how to pack wine in your suitcase.
